GREAT BEND — Strong individual finishes by several Liberal Lady Redskins earned the Lady Red swimmers third place in the Great Bend meet on Monday.
Great Bend won with 385 points, followed by Dodge City at 272, Liberal 223, Hutchinson 221 and Thomas More Prep 177.
Liberal’s 200 medley relay team of Alley Bowen, Maria Pohorecki, Taylor Apsley and Ashlyn Westerman took third, while the 200 Freestyle Relay team of Pohorecki, Macy Hintergardt, Alexandra Palma and Morgan Wills was fifth.
Ashlyn Westerman was fourth in the 50 freestyle, Taylor Apsley third in the 100 butterfly and Ashlyn Westerman fourth in the 100 free.
Alley Bowen was fourth in the 100 backstroke, Maria Pohorecki second in the 100 breaststroke, and the 400 freestyle relay team of Bowen, Apsley, Wills, and Westerman placed second.
The Lady Redskins will travel to Wichita Northwest Saturday.
