2011 JUNIOR
Tuler Grimes played summer ball for the Kenai Peninsula (Alaska) Oilers and was named the fifth-best prospect in the Alaska League by Baseball America.

2010 SOPHOMORE
Grimes played in 59 games with 59 starts, all at shortstop and hit .249 with 42 runs, 48 hits, 12 doubles, two home runs, 28 RBI and seven stolen bases. Grimes had a five-game hitting streak three times to go with 12 multiple-hit games and seven multiple-RBI games. Grimes recorded a season-high three hits twice and posted a season-high three RBI twice. Grimes went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a double against North Dakota on March 2, and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a home run against Central Arkansas on March 9 before going 3-for-4 at Oklahoma State on April 6. Grimes had just one error in the last 30 games of the season and was named to the AD’s honor roll for Spring 2010.

2009 FRESHMAN
Grimes played in 46 games with 45 starts, all at shortstop and hit .294 with 31 runs, 53 hits, 12 doubles, two triples, five home runs, 26 RBI and 13 stolen bases. As a freshman Grimes had an eight-game hitting streak from March 17-27. He also had 17 multiple-hit games and six multiple-RBI games. Grimes was named honorable mention all-Valley and had a season-high three hits six times. He scored a season-high four runs against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on March 17and had a season-high four RBI at Missouri State on April 18. Grimes went 3-for-4 with three doubles at Bradley on March 27 and went 3-for-5 with a double against Indiana State on

HIGH SCHOOL
Grimes attended North High School in Wichita where he lettered four years in baseball. He was named first team all-city all four years at shortstop as well a first team all-state for two years at shortstop. Grimes was also named first team all-Metro for two years and was a member of team that won the city league title during junior and senior seasons. During his senior season, Grimes batted .576 with eight home runs.

PERSONAL
Tyler Grimes is the son of Darin and Mary Grimes. He was born July 3, 1990, in Wichita Grimes has four sisters, Maci, Peyton, Madison and Hayden and is majoring in criminal justice at WSU. Grimes was also recruited by Kansas State, Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri.
