Who was Ol’ Hank?
Hank Rowley was an avid tennis player and supporter of the sport in Liberal. He played well into his 80s as was a key promoter that led to the construction of many of Liberal’s public tennis courts. Rowley was also an ambassador of all things Liberal, supporting community events and singing the praises of local leaders. He is best known for his picture taking. Rowley would shoot pictures of local residents and then write an encouraging message on the back of the photo and give the person a copy.
