BRIAN K. WARD

Brian K. Ward, 38, died Saturday, Febuary 28, 2009.

He was born Oct. 2, 1970, to John P. and Shirley L. Lamon Ward in Liberal.

He married Tina Smith in September 2007 in Liberal. She survives.

He graduated Liberal High School in 1989 and joined the Job Corp in Ogden, Utah. Returning to Liberal, and he worked at Wal-Mart, he served in the National Guard.

He was a member of the South Church of God.

He enjoyed bowling and being with his family and friends.

He is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Shirley and Darrell Salley, Turpin, Okla.; four brothers, Doug Ward, Columbia, S.C., Steve Ward, Liberal, Paul Salley and wife, Crystal, Liberal, and Wade Salley, Kansas City, Kan.; one uncle, Richard Lamon and wife, Ann, Liberal; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  

He was preceded in death by his father.

o Memorial services will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the South Church of God, with the Rev. Rusty Callahan presiding.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Miller Mortuary.

Cremation will take place.
