Former Redskin Bo Abbott just completed his fourth year at The University of Tulsa. Last season the Golden Hurricanes were 10-3 including wins over Notre Dame in South Bend, IN and also beat Hawaii in the Hawaii Bowl 62-35.
Tulsa finished 24th in the final AP poll last season and have been ranked 25th in an early preseason poll. The preseason poll also ranks three of their opponents: No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 6 Boise State, No. 9 Oklahoma State.
Abbott has been the starting long snapper the past 2 years and will be starting again this fall for his fifth year of eligibility. Abbott graduated May 7th with a double major in Exercise & Sports Science and Education, and has been listed on the President's Honor Roll the past 2 semesters.
He has started grad school at TU to earn his MBA with a focus in finance.
Abbott is also now married as of (5/14/11) to his wonderful wife Kristen. Abbott plans to be a football coach.
