JAMES F. MILLER
HUGOTON – James F. Miller, 81, died Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.
He was born July 31, 1928, to James C. and Grace B. (Scott) Miller in Checotah, Okla.
He married Gloria Schonlau Nov. 24, 1953, in Raton, N.M. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a salesman for an implement company.
He was a member of the First Christian Church of Hugoton.
He loved his family and enjoyed being with them.
Other survivors include two sons, James I. Miller and wife, Cheryl, Hugoton, and Larry I. Miller and wife, Barbara, Strasburg, Colo.; two daughters, Gayle M. Philby and husband, Bob, Flemington, Mo., and Kay Kipker and husband, Vaugh, Farnsworth, Texas; one brother, Irl Miller and wife, Hazel, Las Animas, Colo.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one grandson, William Irl Miller.
o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church of Hugoton with ministers Randy Dash and Larry Bradford presiding.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Paul’s Funeral Home.
