Seward’s appearance in the NJCAA top 20 was a brief one. After a week as the No. 18 team in the nation, Seward slipped into the receiving votes after losing to Odessa College 74-55.

Seward rebounded the next night with a win over New Mexico Junior College 63-54, but both games were well under Seward’s scoring average for the season.

Irvin Hollinger’s 26-point performance against the Thunderbirds helped the Saints rebound from the Odessa loss.

Seward fell into the others receiving votes category while Odessa moved in to the No. 20 spot after knocking off the Saints.

Seward will get a chance to return to the top 20 if they can continued to rack up victories in the pre-conference schedule. The Saints will host the Colorado Kings at 8 p.m. tonight and McCook at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Admission is free courtesy Conestoga.
