Playing without Justice Norah against a talented Gruver, Texas, team, Liberal struggled to find its offense in a 50-18 loss.

Norah suffered a knee injury against Bartlesville Saturday, and the junior that led the Lady Redskins in scoring last year and in the first three games of this season did not play.

The Lady Redskins fell behind early and never recovered.

Gruver outscored the Lady Redskins 16-4 in th first quarter, but the Redskins battled in the second and was only outscored 12-9.

But Liberal only scored five points in the second half while allowing Gruver to score 22.

Jai Chapman led the Lady Redskins with eight points.

Madison McLain led Gruver with 21 points.

Liberal (1-3) will return to The Big House Friday for a match-up with the Rangerettes from Perryton.
