3 men arrested for drugs, false ID documents

Monday evening raids by the Seward County Sheriff’s Office and the Southwest Kansas Drug Task Force in Liberal have resulted in three more drug related arrests. One of the men has also been charged with possession of false identity papers.
On Monday, May 11, law enforecement officials served search warrants on two Liberal area residences in connection with suspected drug activity.
The first of the two warrants was served at approximately 5 p.m. at
408 Baughman following an investigation into reports received that people at the residences were engaged in the cultivation of marijuana and sale of marijuana.
The investigation resulted in two felony arrests for cultivation of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, the manufacture with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jose Martinez, 22, was arrested on one count of cultivation of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, and one count of manufacture with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a school.
Autry Coleman, 23, was arrested on one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
The second warrant was served at approximately 10:30 p.m. at 420 S.
Roosevelt following an investigation into reports that persons at the residence were engaged in the sale of cocaine. During the search of the residence, officers found several fraudulent identification documents from Florida, California and Kansas – together with an undisclosed amount of cocaine.
The search resulted in the arrest of 27-year-old Pedro Cabrera Gomez for identity theft, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officials expect at lease one additional arrest will be made in the coming weeks in connection with this ongoing investigation.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
