Daily Leader staff report

Liberal juniors Brandon Granger and Austen Pitts were recognized by the Western Athletic Conference by being placed on the All Conference team.

Granger pitched for the Redskins and also played middle infield.

Pitts also contributed from the mound and played outfield.

Both will be playing for the Liberal Bulldogs Senior Babe Ruth team this summer.

Chris Flowers, Chuy Torres and Jose Pando were also recognized with honorable mentions.

All three re also participating with the Bulldogs.

The Redskins just missed a post-season win against Hutchinson after building an early lead and had their season end in the first round.

Granger and Pitts are expected to return to help build on the steady improvement of the baseball program over the past few seasons.
