BENNIE R. MORAN
JOHNSON – Bennie Ray Morgan, 68, died Tuesday, June 2, 200-9 at the Stanton County Hospital in Johnson.
He was born July 12, 1940 to Hillery and China (NcNew) Morgan in Portales, N.M.
He married Nacy Jones Sept. 19, 1965, at Johnson. She survives.
He graduated from Johnson High school.
He served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965 as a Specialist 4th Class. He worked for Shepard and Sons as a farmer for 20 years.
He is also survived by one daughter, Donnie Morgan, Johnson; four brothers, Tony Martin and wife, Karen, Tucson, Ariz., Pat Martin and wife, Varsi, Las Cruces, N.M., Wayne Morgan, Silver City, N.M., Richard Morgan, Texas; eight sisters, Mary Martin, Tucson, Ariz., Tina NcCae and husband, Roy, Monroe, La., Lucy Mancuso, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Josie Martin of Tucson, Ariz., Joy Wall and husband, Coy, Texas, Carol Self and husband, Charlie, Clovis, N.M., LaVeta Parker and husband, Dwight, Colo., and Carmalita Acock, Jerico Springs, Mo.; many nieces and nephews; and one sister-in-law, Melva Jones, Port Aransas, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one uncle and aunt, Edgar and Joyce McNew, Johnson.
o Memorial service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson with Reverend Don Hasy presiding.
Military rites will be conducted by the VFW Post No. 3684.
