A Ulysses woman was injured when she lost control of her vehicle and collided with a tree Tuesday afternoon east of Ulysses.

Jamie L. Arbogast, 42, was eastbound on Hampton Road about one- quarter of a mile east of Ulysses when she drove her 1992 Ford passenger truck off the south shoulder of the roadway, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The report noted she “… then overcorrected, and drove through the north ditch and into a field. Vehicle one then continued over a terrace, through a barbed-wire fence, across a plowed field and collided with a tree.”
