Manuela Andrada, 60, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City.
She was born Feb. 15, 1949, to Eugene and Eufemia Zammarripa Ortega in San Antonio.
She married Lupe Andrada Nov. 26, 1966, in Garden City. He survives.
She attended school in Garden city and moved to Liberal in 1973.
She worked at National Beef Packing for 25 years, retiring in 2006 because of ill health.
She was a member of the Puerta del Cielo.
She is survived by one son, Guadalupe Andrada Jr. and wife, Patty, Wichita; three daughters, Sandra Galindo and husband, Bernardo, Liberal, Linda Andrada and husband, Guillermo Castro, Liberal, and Rosa Andrada, Liberal; two brothers, Fernando Ortega, Ellsworth, and Joe Ortega, Greeley, Colo.; eight sisters, Bernadina Porras, Pierceville, Dominga Nava, Salina, Gloria Rosas, Garden City, Yolanda Corral, Holcomb; Juanita Venturi, Richland, Miss., Carmen Tarin, Phoenix, Dora Carrillo, Garden City, and Diana Betancourt, Garden City; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Eleno Lopez.
o Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Puerta del Cielo (Seventh and Lincoln) with Pastor Jose del Carmen presiding.
Burial will follow at the Liberal Cemetery.
