HOOKER, Okla. — Reuben John Enns, 88, died July 14, 2009, at his home.

He was born Jan. 30, 1921, to Henry and Katy Balzer Enns in Hooker. 

He married Pat Gustin Dec. 21, 1974, in Hooker. She died July 19, 1992. 

He then married Billie McKinney Sept. 6, 1994, in Spearman, Texas. She survives. 

He attended rural school at Pleasant View near his home and then at Adams Public Schools. 

He farmed near Hooker. 

He is also survived by three step sons, C.E. Kelley Jr, Tucson, Ariz., Ray F. Kelley, Grove, Okla., and Joe Gustin and wife, Jeannie, Oklahoma City; four stepdaughters, Kay Lynn Roseland and husband, Bob, Gilman, Iowa, Lori Branine, Lakin, Janet Vail and husband, David, Hooker, and Marilyn Allen and husband, Steven, Shawnee, Okla.; one sister, Esther Ediger, Reedley, Calif.; three sisters-in-law, Alvina Enns Neighbors, Walnut Ridge, Ark., Liesbeth Enns, Woodinville, Wash., and Elfrieda Enns, Liberal; 24 step grandchildren; 33 step great-grandchildren; and three step great-great-grandchildren. 

He was also preceded in death by two stepsons, Wilber and Lee Gustin; five brothers, Nick, Henry, Pete, Leonard and Ernest; and five sisters, Katie Enns, Martha Enns, Edna Cosby, Linda Schmidt and Elizabeth Enns.   

o Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Brian Jones and the Rev. Tim Brittain presiding. 

Burial will follow at the Hooker Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association and may be left at the Roberts Brothers Funeral home Inc., Box 745, Hooker, OK 73945.
