Obituary

KENNETH N. NOVINGER

MEADE — Kenneth N. Novinger, 83, died Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center in Wichita. 

He was born June 30, 1926, to Hollie (Haddox) and Pat Novinger in Meade. 

He married Wanda Marie Lee June 14, 1947. She died June 29, 2005.

He was a barber in Meade for many years and retired from the Navarre Co-Op in 1991. As a World War II Navy veteran, he was a long-time member of the American Legion and member of the Masons. 

He is survived by two sons, Steve, Montrose, Colo., and Ron and wife, Kathy, Meade; one daughter, Carol Hicks and husband, Larry, Ramona, Okla.; one brother, Ross, Farmington, N.M.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. 

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Teri, and three grandchildren. 

o Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Meade Church of the Nazarene. 

Graveside services will be at Graceland Cemetery, Meade. 

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. 

Memorials are suggested to the South Wind Hospice of Pratt in care of the funeral home.
