Shortly after the first of this year, Sam Christian was hired as director of Mid-America Air Museum. This past Tuesday, his employment ended. However, Human Resources Director Jeff Parsons will not comment on the details surrounding Christian leaving his post at MAAM.

“I can confirm that he is not there any longer,” Parsons said. “We do not discuss personnel matters as per our policy.

“I can’t and won’t give any details about that,” he continued. “But we have done some tentative things regarding starting a search for a new director – that will start right away. We don’t exactly know what track we are going to take on it yet, but we will start the search immediately.”

Even without a director at the MAAM location, according to Parsons, it will be business as usual.

“We are not going to change anything, we went without a director for a while before, so nothing is going to change,” he said. “The hours won’t change, it will stay open. We will just find a new director as soon as we can.”
