ULYSSES – Janice Kay Cook, 64, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

She was born June 8, 1945, to Archie and Helen (Horton) Schoonover in Goodland.

She married Seth Lee Cook Aug. 5, 1967, in Colorado Springs, Colo. He died May 26, 2005.

She was a homemaker and a para at Ulysses High School.

Survivors include her mother; two sons, Tim Cook and wife, Michelle Welsh Cook, Laguna Niguel, Calif., and Chris Cook and wife, Shea, Oskaloosa; three grandchildren, Tristan, Kinsey and Ethan Cook; and other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her father and one sister, Judith Light.

o Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Central time Friday at the Goodland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Grant County Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to the Mahaska County Hospice and may be mailed to Grant County Funeral Home, 218 S. Main, Ulysses, KS 67880.
