RONALD D. CRAVENS

PLAINS – Ronald Duane Cravens, 69, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at the Lone Tree Retirement Center in Meade.

He was born March 27, 1940, to Ira C. “Cap” and Geneva P. (Singley) Cravens in Dodge City.

He attended the Heart Spring/Wichita Institute of Logapedics from 1945-1955. He later attended the Plains school system, graduating from Plains High School in 1962.

Upon his graduation, he began his career as a farmer and a rancher.

He was a member of the Plains United Methodist Church and the Young at Heart, both of Plains.

He enjoyed fishing, crafts and automobiles.

He is survived by Larry Selby, Edith Kruse, Elliott Stanton, Leon Stanton, Bill Bolan and families.

o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary Chapel of Meade.

Burial will be at the Plains Cemetery.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Young at Heart, Lone Tree Retirement Center or Hospice of the Prairie in care of the funeral home.
