MEADE – Mary E. Josserand, 77, died Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Meade District Hospital.

She was born Sept. 22, 1932, to  John H. and Hazel (Markham) Weaver in Meade.

She married Don Josserand Feb. 23, 1974, at the First Baptist Church in Meade. He survives.

As a young girl, she attended the Meade school system, graduating from Meade High School in 1950.

She was a farmer and a rancher.

She was a member of St. Augustine Episcopal Church of Meade.

She enjoyed gardening, canning, archeology, hunting and trapping.

Other survivors include one son,                                      Mark Gillen, Independence; two daughters, Lark Hallum, Colcord, Okla., and Esta Bucher, Quinter; one brother, Donald Weaver, Richardson, Texas; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and              five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.

o Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary Chapel in Meade, with Father Dennis Zimmerman presiding.

Cremation has taken place.

Private family burial will follow at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the Meade District Hospital in care of the funeral home.
