Mildred Maxine Langley, 100, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal.

She was born Dec. 31, 1911, to George Orville and Stella Ella (Whitson) Flowers in Logan.

She married Daniel Edward Bachmann Jan. 19, 1929, in Cheyenne, Okla. He died April 18, 1955.

She then married Reece W. Langley Aug. 5, 1961, in Copeland. He died Oct. 9, 1993.

She was employed at C.R. Anthony’s; Dobsons Department Store; and Kelly’s Men’s Wear. She did alterations for Kelly’s Men’s Wear for 17 years.

She was a member of the Church of Christ in Canadian, Texas.

She was a seamstress and enjoyed crocheting.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Langley and wife, Twila Wichita; one daughter, Judy Smith and husband, Wally Guymon; four grandchildren, Derwin Langley, Kenneth Langley, Troy Smith and Beth Thayer and husband, Clark; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; great niece, Sherry Helmke Liberal; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Melvin, Clyde and Orvalle “Bill” Flowers, and five sisters, Mamie Flowers, Eva Julian, Rachel Averill, Wilma Mills and Doris Chumbley

o Graveside service were at 10 a.m. today at Restlawn Cemetery with Pastor Arlen Ankle presiding.

Memorials are suggested to Wheatridge Park Care Center in care of Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. Second, Liberal, KS 67901.
