HUGOTON – Preston Russell Wellinghoff, 43, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017 at Pratt Regional Medical Center in Pratt.  

He was born July 4, 1974 to Curtis and Zanna (Hamblin) Wellinghoff in Hugoton. 

He grew up in Hugoton and graduated from Hugoton High School in 1993. He then attended vo-tech school and obtained his heating and air conditioning certification.  

He worked for Seaboard Foods as a truck driver and dispatcher. 

He then moved to Arizona, and obtained his C.N.A. certification and worked for Banner Health for eight years.

He loved fishing, singing, and spending time with his pets, Bailey and Brittney.

Survivors include his parents; grandmother, Marjorie Hamblin, Hooker, Okla.; grandparents, Billy Joe Davison and wife, Lovica, Dallas; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many friends. 

He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Russell Hamblin and John Henry Wellinghoff.

• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017 at Hugoton Assembly of God Church in Hugoton with Pastor Ben Coats presiding.  

Burial will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton. 

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Garnand Funeral Home with family present from 2 to 4 p.m.
