Baker, Sara Cate, died Thursday, November 26, 2009, at Wesley Hospital in Wichita, KS. She was born on December 25, 1923, to Dr. D.C. and Inez (Cate) Daniel in Mosquero, New Mexico. She married Turner Hall Baker on April 26, 1942. She was a homemaker and lived most of her married life in Liberal, Kansas.

She is survived by seven daughters, Sondra (Larry) Zinn, Lynda (Duane) Bozarth, Eleanore (Nathan) Adolph, Carolyn Baker, Cindy (Franklin) McLain, Deborah (Maurice) Patterson, Michelle (Trino) Silvas; and son-in-law, Tim Brecheisen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of sixty years, sister Netta Powell, brother Denna Cree Daniel and daughter Nancy Brecheisen.

Sara was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 18, 1959. She was an active member of the Liberal and later the Blackwell, OK, congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

o A memorial service will be on Saturday, December 5, 2009, 11:00 A.M. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Blackwell, OK, 210 N. 13th Street. Cremation has already taken place.
