FORGAN, Okla., - The Forgan Lady Bulldogs did the two things they needed to, to have success and advance in the regional playoffs; play great defense and get the ball in the hands of Kenzi Taylor.

Forgan did just that with Kenzi scoring 27 points, and the Lady Bulldogs winning easily over the Felt Lady Bulldogs, 56-29.

"It was a good win," Forgan coach Brett Trippett said. "It was nice to see Kenzi play so well; she really came alive and got us rolling. Defense was good all night long. Our guards did a good job of chasing their shooters."

Kenzi Taylor scored the first seven points of the game, and led 9-0 before Felt finally got on the board with 3:11 left in the first.

KaDawn McReynolds (8 points) hit two threes, and Forgan ended the first quarter up 17-7.

Forgan started the second much like the first, by pounding the ball inside to Kenzi Taylor again for the first eight points of the quarter to start a 13-4 run that put Forgan up 30-11 with 3:31 left until half.

Macie Bryer (9 points) hit two threes in the latter half of the quarter, and Nikki Taylor (8 points) scored inside twice, as Forgan led 37-16 at the half.

Forgan held Felt without a point for the first five minutes of the third, and led by their largest margin, 25 (41-16).

Forgan cruised the rest of the way to a 24-point win to advance to the regional consolation game.

Forgan (17-9) hosted Boise City Saturday with the winner advancing to the Area tournament.
