Beaver's fourth quarter defense was the difference in a hard fought matchup with the Hooker Lady Bulldogs Tuesday night in Beaver. The Lady Dusters held Hooker to only four fourth quarter points to win the see-saw matchup, 46-38.

Heading into the fourth, the Lady Bulldogs had tied the game at the end of the third by outscoring the Lady Dusters 15-11. Lucero Ugarte hit two threes for Hooker in the third to help her team close the gap.

Erin Becker was the difference for Beaver on the offensive end, hitting four three's, and going 4-for-4 at the free throw line on her way to a game-high 24 points.

Beaver took a small lead early in the game and lead 16-12 in the first.  They maintained the four point lead at the half, 23-19.

Shayla Mathis did her best to keep Hooker in the game scoring 10 of her 16 in the first quarter. Mathis was also a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the game, but could not get to the line in the second half. Crystal Ferguson added six points for the Lady Bulldogs.

Both teams shot well from the free throw line with Beaver going 9-for-11, and Hooker making 8-of-9.

Becker got help on the offensive end from Jordan Jesko, who finished with 9 points, and Anna McDonald was limited to only six.

The Lady Dusters improved their record to 12-7, and will travel to Texhoma Friday. Hooker will play at Guymon Friday.
