The Lady Saints had little trouble moving to 8-0 in the Jayhawk West Conference Wednesday, sweeping Pratt 25-6, 25-12, 25-14.

Giovanna Tapigliani continued to shine on offense and defense. Tapigliani turned in an 11-kill performance to go along with 12 digs.

altMariana Nascimento led the Lady Saints with 12 kills.

Nathiellen Machado added 12 digs.

The Lady Saints moved up to No. 5 in the nation earlier in the week and played their  third straight conference math on the road after scoring victories over Colby and Hutchinson.

With the three-set sweep over Pratt, the Lady Saints still have two more road conference match-ups before returning to the Greenhouse.

Seward will travel to  Garden City Saturday and then to Dodge City Monday.

The Lady Saints will return to the Greenhouse open a three-match homestand when they host Cloud County Wednesday.

Seward will remain in the Greenhouse for an Oct. 14 match with Pratt and will complete the three-match homestand Oct. 18 against Barton County.

Seward will play its final road match of the regular season Oct. 21 at Butler before returning to the Greenhouse for the final two matches of the season.

Oct. 25, the No. 3 Lady Saints will host No. 18 Colby and will complete the regular season Oct. 28 in the Greenhouse when they host Hutchinson.
