Roletha (Pat) Courtney, 95, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, in Phoenix.
She was born Jan. 11, 1923, to Howard and Alta Jennie Davis in Satanta.
She married William Calvin Courtney in Liberal. He preceded her in death.
She worked several years at cafes in Liberal and later in the laundry department at Southwest Medical Center, where she became head of the department before retiring in 1987.
She is survived by one son, Lavern Lee and wife, Janice Courtney, Fredericksburg, Texas; three daughters, Sharon Moeller, Albuquerque, N.M., Louise Collins, Prescott Valley, Ariz., and Nina and Bob Barry, Phoenix; one sister, Bonnie Atwell, Perry, Iowa; six grandchidlren, Michael Correll, Bill Correll, Terri Braun, Jeff Courtney, Annie Diaz and Sara Roughton; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Esther Courtney, Hays.
She was preceded in death by one son, Ray Courtney, and four brothers, Rolley Davis, Malvin Davis, Dean Davis and Loren Collins.
o She was cremated, and a memorial will take place at a later date.
