ULYSSES – Shirley A. Weis, 79, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Western Prairie Senior Living Community in Ulysses. 
She was born Dec. 31, 1938, to Cleo and Leota (Popejoy) Lozar in Ulysses.
She married Cletus Weis Oct. 10, 1956, in Ulysses.  He preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker, and a cook for USD 214 at the high school. 
Shirley was an active member of Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
She enjoyed following her kids and grandkids activities, quilting and sewing.    
She is survived by sons, Larry Weis and wife, Melinda, Kechi, and Steve Weis and wife, Donna, Omaha, Neb.; daughter, Michelle Martin, Ulysses; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and two brothers.
o Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday with rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Garnand Funeral Home.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses, with the Rev. Peter Fernandez presiding. 
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association both in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, KS  67880.
